Investing in Our People: Team UIS Brings Employees Together for All-Michigan Staff Meeting
Our Michigan team members recently gathered for our All-Michigan Staff Meeting, an event focused on professional development, safety, collaboration, and strengthening the relationships that help drive our success.
This meeting brought together our engineers, technicians, project managers, and support staff for a full day of industry-specific training sessions, safety discussions, informal meetings and fun! Team members met directly with divisional Chief Operating Officers Andy Gohl and Ken Wisely and participated in a training session with Safety Manager Charlotte Fiorini.
Best of all, it was an opportunity for team members to connect with each other. Sharing lunch, exchanging ideas, and discussing lessons learned from projects throughout Michigan helped strengthen our teamwork and culture.
The gathering also highlighted the remarkable growth of our organization. What began as a small Michigan company has expanded into a regional leader in specialty electrical services. Today, Team UIS operates a fleet of nearly 70 trucks, vans, and service vehicles throughout the Midwest with approximately 140 employees. And we’re still hiring.
As Team UIS celebrates 50 years of service, events like our All-Michigan Staff Meeting reinforce the fact that our greatest investment continues to be our people. By providing ongoing training, promoting safety, and fostering collaboration, we are building the knowledge, skills, and culture needed to serve our customers for decades to come.
