What is an RTU?

RTUs or (Remote Terminal Units) are microprocessors designed to communicate and interact with devices in the field such as valves, pumps, and motors. No more dials and push buttons as the only way to monitor facility equipment. The main role of the RTU is to monitor and inform the electronic signals received from the equipment and connect the data to the SCADA system.
