What is the difference between a PLC and an RTU?

RTUs are designed for tough outdoor environments and strong intercommunication between RTUs protocols.  While PLCs are generally designed for indoor environments and work as stand-alone units that communicate to the head end only.  The ZUiS™’ M’s core computer is an RTU.  While the ZUiS™ A’s core computer is a PLC.  For more information on RTU vs. PLC click here.
